I forgot how goofy Zelda always looks with it.

Table scraps and left overs
Somebody asked me recently how I feed my dog. Here's an example:
I make a batch of food for my pet rats at the same time as the dog. They eat basically the same stuff. The main difference is the rats get more veggies and the dog gets more protein. It's all a bit haphazard. The stuff in the containers is a mash of left over white rice, chicken broth, canned black beans, sour cream, a little shredded cheese.
To that, I added canned salmon, grated carrot, steamed squash, parsley, spinach, and some homemade apple sauce that was getting stale in the fridge. I have a picture of a tomato here, but I must not have used it because it's still sitting in the produce bowl on the counter.
This particular batch didn't make many servings. Usually I make more at once, but, again... did I mention I'm rather haphazard?
I got feeding information... well, from many places, but also from:

Short but interesting discussion about working horses (specifically, the evilness or lack thereof of driving urban carriage horses)

Ho boy
Saturday, Zelda and I went to our first flyball class.
I only have one question, for myself: Why the heck didn't we do this earlier?
We have, a) tennis balls, and b) running really fast. What, Zelda asks me, isn't there to love?
In agility class, we have some issues with her barking at the other dogs when it's their turn on equipment. In flyball, even with more activity and louder dogs in closer proximity, she hardly seemed to even notice them. Interesting.
