About

Hi, I'm an artist, photographer, and nature lover in Western Oregon. I write about about nature, animal shelters and rescue, agriculture, gardening, invasive species, and sometimes politics.

All the content on here is mine unless otherwise stated.

I have a BS in Biology from Oregon State University. I've worked as a USFS invasive weed specialist; a pesticide toxicologist (sort of... it takes a long time to explain); a vet assistant at a clinic and in animal shelters. I founded a 501(c)(3) animal rescue that's still going strong after I moved away.

I currently live in a 110-year-old house built on stolen Kalapuya land, about ten miles from where I was born.

Life is weird; we should document it.
