I spent a few hours last weekend sorting through all my photo archives on the computer. It was mainly to standardize how all the folders are labeled so it's easier to find things. And it was seriously overdue for a systematic back up.
So. Many. Pictures. I don't think there's even that many in my parent's photo cupboard, which has been filling up for decades. And I've only had digital since 2003.
I've loved taking pictures since dad got me my Yashica when I was 13 (and some of those have been scanned for my archive), but ever since I got my digital Casio point-n-shoot, and then much more recently, my Canon, it's been non-stop photo mania.
Digital lends itself so easily to prolific picture-taking (something that certain snooty "traditionalists" cite as why digital is somehow more low-brow/inferior to film ... but that's a rant for another time).
But whether or not it's the just the law of averages, I've still captured some images I'm pretty proud of:
