My gosh, those are huge and rather well-formed nails. The ones I've seen (not many) always seem to be deficient or have funky shaped nail beds that produce weird nails.
Yeah, most of the hind dew claws, especially the doubles, seem to have funky nails. Even these rather well-formed ones had no bony attachment, though. Just floppity against the leg.

Borophagine dogs always had dewclaws on the hindlegs, so whenever I see a dog with those claws on the back, I think there's an Epicyon!
